Authors: T.G. Kamenskikh, I.O. Kolbenev, E.V. Veselova
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The research goal was to estimate the effectiveness of complex pharmacophysiotherapy of patients with initial glaucoma simplex on the basis of analysis of morphology, visual cortex electrobiological activity and regional blood flow level.
80 patients (149 eyes) aged 60-75 were examined. All of them had an initial glaucoma simplex of II or III stage and normalized intraocular pressure. Depending on the stage of glaucoma there were two groups of patients and each group contained two sub-groups. patients of sub-group A were treated by percutaneous electrostimulation with feedback based on visual evoked biopotentials; and patients of sub-group В were treated by traditional electrostimulation. All patients got complex eye examination before and after the therapeutic course, and in 3 months after it.
Method of selection of optimal electrostimulation parameters was worked out for the appropriate retina ganglionary cell effect. Individually selected electrostimulation in combination with nootropics contributes to eye hemodynamics improvement. Addition of magnetotherapy to the complex therapy of patients with eye hemodynamics leads to improvement of functional results. the increase of functional results of complex therapy with magnetotherapy that affects cervical sympathetic ganglia has been determined in patients with eye hemodynamics

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №1 Pages: 100-102
Heading: Internal Diseases Article type: Original article
Authors: N.A. Faradjeva
Organization: Azerbaijan State Institute of Advanced Medical Studies n.a. A. Aliev
Summary:

The research goal is to reveal influence of laser therapy on endobronchial changes and integrated indicator of inflammatory process in complex treatment of patients with chronic bronchitis. 64 patients with chronic bronchitis divided into 2 clinical groups have been under study: 33 patients with chronic purulent obstructive bronchitis and 31 - with chronic purulent nonobstructive bronchitis. Bronchial fibroscopic investigation of mucous membrane of bronchial tubes and biochemical research of blood have been performed to reveal endobronchitis degree and integrated indicator of inflammatory process. Indicators have been expressed in points: under 1 - moderated, 1-2 - expressed and more than 2 points - sharp changes. Results have demonstrated that the combination of drug therapy with endobronchial laser irradiation has an optimum anti-inflammatory effect indicated by decrease of endobronchitis degree - 1,12 and 0,81 points and integrated indicator - 1,75 and 0,75 (Р <0,01). That allows to recommend introduction of endobronchial laser irradiation into the complex therapy of chronic bronchitis

Summary:

Alcoholic liver disease prognosis has not been thoroughly developed yet. The possibility of morphologic prognosis has been limited due to disadvantages of liver biopsy. Insignificant amount of studies is devoted to laboratory methods. prognosis value of serum markers of liver fibrosis at the last cirrhotic stages is widely considered in the medical literature. at the same time the results of treatment are determined by making a diagnosis

Summary:

The research goal was to estimate efficiency of medicine phosphogliv by the directed administration in complex therapy for patients with biliary pancreatitis and НСV- infection. 62 patients with biliary pancreatitis and НСV-infection were examined. These patients were divided into 2 comparable groups: control group I (50 persons) and basic group II (12 persons). In group I traditional basic therapy of biliary pancreatitis was carried out with injection of phosphogliv intravenously. Patients of group II were given erythrocytes intravenously with average therapeutic dose of phosphogliv. Introduction of medicines in autologous erythrocytes was performed by hypotonic lysis.
Effective influence of directed administration of preparation phosphogliv demonstrated decrease in level of bilirubin in blood, activity of AlAt, AsAt in patients of research group. Side-effects were not revealed.
In conclusion the investigation proved that more effective influence of phosphogliv on level of bilirubin in blood and activity of AlAt, AsAt can be reached in combination with traditional basic therapy.

Organization: Volgograd State Medical University
Summary:

The research goal was to study the clinical efficiency of desloratadine therapy in children with persistent form of allergic rhinitis and to evaluate its effect on bronchial asthma symptoms.
A prospective, randomized, open, parallel-group study of the effectiveness of desloratadine in children with persistent allergic rhinitis aged 2 - 16 in a four-week term was carried out. the effectiveness of therapy was evaluated by dynamics of clinical symptoms and rhinomanometry.
the study showed that desloratadine was an effective medication in treatment of persistent allergic rhinitis in children of different age groups. It controlled nasal and other symptoms of allergic rhinitis and provided the reduction of stuffiness in nose and improvement of breathing through the nose. the medication significantly effected histamine-induced symptoms (itching, sneezing, rhinorrhea). In children with allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma the positive dynamics of symptoms of asthma was observed.
the effectiveness of treatment with desloratadine in children with isolated allergic rhinitis was proved to be higher than in patients with concomitant bronchial asthma

Summary:

The objective of the present research was to compare the influence of Enalapril and Metoprolol on synchronization of 0.1 Hz-regulation of heart and blood microcirculation. 42 patients aged 49±9 years old with hypertension I, II were included in the study. 0.1 Hz-oscillations in heart rate variability (HRV) and blood microcirculation were registered during the passive orthostatic sign while breathing spontaneously. The duration of each test was 10 minutes. Synchronization was estimated as a phase difference between 0.1 Hz-rhythms in heart rate and in filling of blood microcirculation. Quantitative measures of synchronization were also estimated. In addition frequency values of HRV spectrum in LF- and HF-ranges were assessed. Enalapril and Metoprolol had comparable effect on blood pressure reduction. Treatment with both Enalapril and Metoprolol in patients with significant vegetative dysfunction resulted in repair of functional interaction between 0.1 Hz-regulation of heart and blood microcirculation. Enalapril was preferred in hypertensive patients
with prevalence of disorders of vegetative regulation of blood microcirculation. Metoprolol influenced positively on 0,1 Hz-rhythm synchronization in patients with predominance of heart vegetative regulation dysfunction and in patients with sympathicotonia. In patients with hypertension and initially normal level of synchronization of 0.1 Hz-mechanisms treatment with Enalapril or Metoprolol caused functional dissociation. Differentiated approach to the choice of hypertensive therapy should consider individual peculiarities of system vegetative dysfunction. The level of synchronization of 0.1 Hz-rhythms in cardiovascular system should especially be evaluated initially and during the treatment
