The purpose of the research is to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of emergency calls for children and teenager with intoxications in Astrakhan in 2005. Continuously observing cases of death from intoxication in children and teenagers aged 0-19 years in Astrakhan from 2003 till 2005 years have been examined according to the statistics of Astrakhan department (reg. form 5). Premedical aid given to children and teenagers has been thoroughly analyzed by means of data from the medical cards of ambulance calls filled in by emergency doctors (reg. form 110/u). In 2005 the total amount of emergency calls in case of intoxication counted 5,5% of 17,5% of accident calls. Statistics based on age groups of patients presented as follows: children ages 0 to 11 months 29 days - 4,9%, сchildren ages 1 to 4 years - 31,9%, сchildren ages 5 to 9 years - 4,5 %, teenagers ages 10 to 14 years - 17,1%, 15 to 19 years - 41,1%

Authors: V.G. Khalturina, V.F. Kirichuck, A.I. Kodochigova, E.S Olenko, O.V. Medvedeva, M.G. Kucherov, M.M.M. El-bubu, I.D. Pavlishcheva
Organization: Saratov State Medical University, Saratov City Hospital №9, Penza Regional Children's Clinical Hospital n.a. N.F.Filatov
The work is a result of the psychophysiological tests with the help of cutting examination and psychogeometrical tests for 76 healthy individuals ages 20,18±1,25 years, having different caries resistance. It is known that group of people with poor caries resistance has a conflict type of personality. There is a positive tendency to growth of anxiety level and reducing caries resistance. The article concludes that the prophylaxis of caries and its complications must contain methods of psychophysiological correction
Activation of Lipoperoxidation Pro¬cesses as a Typical Process of Cell Biomembrane Destabilization at Neoplasias of Different Localization

Authors: D.G. Kovalev, L.I. Bugaeva, A.A. Ozerov
Organization: Volgograd State Medical University
The aim of the research is to study pharmacological properties and to determine safety effect diapason, toxico-logical properties of new adenine substances 9-[2-(4-isopropylphenopxy) aethyl] adenine under laboratory code VMA-99-82 which obtains antiviral activity in vitro. the results of the research of neurotoxicologic profile of combination of VMA-99-82 are presented in the work using technique of multistage testing according to «S.lrvin». while performing the research it has been established that safety level of substance VMA-99-82 refers to the class of low toxic combination. the diapason of doses (from 18,7 to 300 mg/kg) of substance evident therapeutic effect has been determined. Side-effects are not expressed significantly. therapeutic effect of the combination VMA-99-82 has behavioral reactions. thus the given substance must be further studied for psychotropic effect and its mechanism action

Organization: Volgograd State Medical University
The purpose of the research is to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of cyclosporine and other antihistamines in patients with chronic forms of urticaria resistant to basic first-line therapy. Open randomized controlled study has been performed in parallel groups. 53 patients with chronic idiopathic urticaria ages 18-50 years have been examined. In case of ineffectiveness of previous therapy, patients have been randomized into 2 groups: group I receiving cyclosporine (Sandimmune Neoral ®) 2,5 mg/kg/day, group II receiving cetirizine (Zyrtec ®) 10 mg/day and ranitidine (Zantac ®) 300 mg/day orally. It has been found that the administration of cyclosporine in patients with severe chronic idiopathic urticaria provides a more rapid achievement of clinical effect than the therapy with H1/H2 histamine antagonists. It is confirmed by a significant decrease of total index of severity of illness and major symptoms of skin lesions. This tendency towards normalization of quality of life of patients taking cyclosporine remains during 8 weeks after the medication. Thus administration of cyclosporine can be considered as therapy of choice in patients with chronic idio-pathic urticaria with a severe course and ineffective long-term therapy with antihistamines / systemic corticosteroids
