Objective: To study the hormonal parameters in women of different age groups in hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome. Materials and methods: We have studied the content of cortisol, thyrotropic hormone (TTH), triiodothyro-nine (T3), free thyroxin (FT4), luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), testosterone, estradiol, progesterone, prolactin in blood serum of 62 women with moderate (33) and severe (29) HFRS forms age (17-62). They were divided into 2 groups: the first group (33 patients) women with the normal menstrual cycle, the second group (29 women) consisted of patients in climacteric period. Results: TTH secretion increase, T3 and FT4 — decrease with their normalization to the recovery period were registered in the thyroid system of the compared groups. Blood cortisol level was high during the illness. Gonadotropic hypophysis function study demonstrated that LH and blood prolactin concentrations were increased since oliguria period; FSH was authentic reduced. The indices of these hormones were restored to the normal level by the reconvalescence period. LH and FSH contents were authentic higher in women of the second group in comparison with the first group. The hyperprolactinemia was observed in both women groups during the whole period of disease. The increased progesterone and testosterone concentrations have been manifested in blood serum. The estradiol concentration had different direction tendencies. Conclusion: Thus, the complex study of hypophysic- thyreoid and gonadotropic hormone state of adrenal system and the sexual hormone levels in women of different age groups in HFRS revealed the hormone status indces changes due to the period and severity of the disease, connected with the virus action, intoxication, the general inflammation reactions and their age.

Research objective: comparative analysis of distant thermography, Doppler ultrasound and pupillary reactions in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma at various stages of the disease with compensated intraocular pressure. Materials. 129 patients (216 eyes) with diagnosis of POAG at various stages ofthe disease (the main group) have been examined. Intraocular pressure has been normalized with medications, or with medications + laser surgery. The control group has consisted of patients with initial and immature cataract of similar age and sex (30 patients — 52 eyes). All patients have experienced thermal, Doppler study, and a study of pupil response to light. Results. It has been revealed that the temperature ofthe open optic fissure in patients with POAG correlated with hemodynamics in the central retinal artery and short posterior ciliary arteries. It has been also noted the reduction of pupillary reaction in the progression of glaucoma optic neuropathy. Conclusion. Data of distant thermography, Doppler ultrasound and video recording of pupillary reaction are different with various stages of glaucoma process. The investigation allows to use these methods for monitoring of patients with primary open-angle glaucoma

Apoptosis and premature aging in patients with metabolic syndrome
Heading: Internal Diseases Article type: Original article
Authors: Chernysheva E.N., Panova T.N.
Organization: Astrakhan State Medical University
The Research Objective: Correlation of apoptosis and senilism in patients with metabolic syndrome has been studied. Materials. Apoptosis inductor protein p53 concentration, insulin level in blood serum, biological age, ageing rate coefficient of 270 patients with metabolic syndrome of the age from 30 till 60 have been determined. Among them there have been 162 men and 108 women. Ageing rate coefficient and biological age have been calculated by A. G. Gorel-kin's and Pinchasov's formulae, protein p53 concentration and insulin in blood serum have been determined by enzyme multiplied immunoassay method. Results. Protein p53 concentration of the patients with metabolic syndrome has been increased and worked out 1,59 (1,361,91) U/ml, biological age, ageing rate coefficient have been increased — biological age to 6 years, ageing rate coefficient has been 1,32. Conclusion. These patients have been referred to the group with high risk of early pathology development because the processes of senilism are proleptic. The direct connection between protein p 53 and ageing rate coefficient (r+0,63, p< 0,05) and between apoptosis marker protein p53 and biological age (r+0,6, p< 0,05) have been determined.
Adaptation to periodic pressure chamber hypoxia and its influence on systolic and diastolic functions in chronic heart failure
Heading: Internal Diseases Article type: Original article
Authors: Dmitrieva М.К.
Organization: Orenburg State Medical University
Research objective is to determine the influence of adaptation method to periodic pressure chamber hypoxia on dynamics of systolic and diastolic functions of myocardium in patients with early stages of chronic heart failure. Materials and Methods: 100 men with post-infarction cardiosclerosis at the age of 40-65 years with I and IIA stages and l-ll functional classes (NYHA) of chronic heart failure have been examined. Results: Positive dynamics of systolic and diastolic cardiac functions and other parameters of echocardioscopy under the influence of the hypoxic therapy in comparison with classical physical rehabilitation have been obtained. Furthermore, a more significant effect has been observed in patients with CHF IIA. Conclusion: Improvement in the geometry of the heart has proved that adaptation method to periodic pressure chamber hypoxia could be recommended for rehabilitation of patients with heart failure of early stages.

Authors: Dzhukaeva Kh.R., Shvarts Y.G.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Aim: The definition of the relationship of clinical and laboratory features of acute myocardial infarction depending on the suffering of chronic tonsillitis. Materials and methods. The study included 54 patients with acute myocardial infarction suffering for 1-2 days. The collection of the anamnesis, assessment of clinical factors, inspection of the palatine tonsils, clinical and biochemical blood tests have been done. Markers of myocardial necrosis, an electrocardiogram with calculation of a dispersion of interval QT, echocardiogram have been taken into account. Results. 45 of 54 patients reported the symptoms of chronic tonsillitis in their lifetime. At 17 patients the previous diagnosis of chronic tonsillitis has been made, in 6 of them bilateral tonsillectomy was held. All of the patients were divided into 2 groups: 1 with proven chronic tonsillitis (17 patients) and 2 — the others (37 patients). At patients with chronic tonsillitis substantially more developed acute heart failure at sick this group glucose of the blood at receipt was higher than in 2 groups (p=0,004), given distinction was independent of presence of diabetes. According to the echocardiography 1 group of patients determined course-diastolic dimensions of the right ventricle increase in comparison with 2 groups (p=0,01). Conclusion. In patients with chronic tonsillitis more severe course of acute myocardial infarction has been determined, which became evident in the relatively high values of blood glucose on admission. The frequent development of congestive heart failure, and increase of the course-diastolic dimensions of the right ventricle have been also revealed.

Purpose: to study the morphological characteristic of a coronary blood flow and feature of erythronJs system at ischemic heart disease in aged patients. Methods. Morphological and functional characteristics of coronary blood flow (according to the data of selective direct angiocoronarography) and also cytomorphological and functional parameters of peripheral blood flow in aged patients with ischemic heart disease have been used. Results. Statistically reliable differences to parameters of «red» blood are determined. Lowering of erythrocytes has been established in women. The parameters of haemoglobin level, hematocrit and increasing of erythrocyte sedimentation rate was marked in both gender. The gender distinctions of age have been revealed remodeling of coronary arteries. Conclusion. The high probability of erythronJs system participation has been shown namely its peripheral link in process of age remodeling of coronary arteries in aged men with ischemic heart disease
