Tropicality. Cardiomyopathies (CMP) are diseases of unknown etiology. CMP are usually diagnosed in late stages of the disease. The search for diagnostic methods for CMP in the early stage is of great importance. The purpose is to determine the character of distribution of polymorph genetic variations rates of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), glutathione S- transferase (GSTM 1) among CMP patients and healthy subjects living in the Republic of Bashkortostan and to substantiate their value in CMP pathogenesis. Materials and methods. A total of 67 patients with CMP were included in the study. Out of them, 40 patients were diagnosed with ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICMP) and 27 patients — dilatation cardiomyopathy (DCMP). 110 healthy persons were enrolled in the control group. Results. In the group of patients with ICMP, the genotype DD (x2=4,81; p=0,029) occurred more frequently. In DCMP group, there was also an increase in frequency of DD genotype of polymorph genetic locus of ACE gene (%2=4,046; p=0,044). Conclusion. Genetic analysis of polymorph l/D locus of ACE gene in patients with ICMP and DCMP showed a decrease in occurrence rates of II, ID genotypes, allele I, as well as an increase in DD genotypes and allele D. This is associated with an increased risk for the development of these cardiovascular diseases

Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Objective: To study the clinical features of the course and outcome of pregnancy accompanied by acute respiratory viral infections and influenza A (HN^win). Methods and materials. 152 pregnant women who suffered from influenza A (H l^swin), acute respiratory viral infections in different duration of gestation. Results. Similar clinical symptomatology of both influenza A (H1N1 swin) and acute respiratory viral infections during the period of epidemic raise of influenza allow to suggest present nosology including pregnant patients with acute respiratory viral infections. Conclusion. In 4 cases the fatal outcome from influenza related to presence of associated pathology and development of the severe form of influenza complicated by acute respiratory and cardiovascular insufficiency, pulmonary edema, and cerebral edema were registered
Clinical predictors of adverse course of nonspecific bacterial vulvovaginitis at girls born from mothers with dysplasia of connective tissue
Heading: Obstetrics and Gynecology Article type: Original article
Authors: Kosykh S.L., Mozes V.G.
Organization: Kemerovo State Medical University, Kemerovo Children Hospital № 5
Research objective: To define clinical predictors of adverse course of nonspecific bacterial vulvovaginitis (NBV) at girls born from mothers with the undifferentiated forms of dysplasia of connective tissue (UFDCT). Materials: At 157 girls clinical research, bacteriological and bacterioscopy research of leucorrhoea from vagina has been conducted, NBV has been diagnosed at 111 girls. At all girls and at their mothers the immunity has been investigated; at all mothers of girls with NBV phenotypic reveals of UFDCT have been found out. Results: At girls with NBV born from mothers with UFDCT severe course of a disease has been marked; and at mothers with UFDCT and at their children with NBV disorders of humoral immunity have been revealed. Presence of more than 5 stigmas of dysembryogenesis with prevalence of thoracodiaphragmatic, articular, cosmetic syndromes and pathology of organs of vision at mothers of girls with NBV is possible to use as predictors of adverse course of the disease

Research Objective: To compare the features of personal response in young patients with minor heart anomalies according to gender and severity of abnormalities. Materials and Methods: Physiological characteristics of 124 male and female (mean age — 22,16±2,42 years) have been examined by means of Toronto Alexithymic scale, reduced multifactorial questionnaire for the study of personality and psychogeometric test. Results: It has been found that both women and men with moderate degree of minor heart anomalies manifest polar intrapsychic tendencies, higher levels of alexithymia than in those with a lesser degree of dysplasia of the connective tissue of the heart. Conclusion: Patients with moderate degree of minor heart anomalies have experienced the conflicting intrapsychic tendencies and higher levels of alexithymia than patients with minor heart anomalies of a minimal degree, regardless of the gender. Male patients with varying degrees of severity are more likely to suffer from alexithymia than females

Heading: Physiology and Pathophysiology Article type: Original article
Authors: Zhevak T.N., Chesnokova N.P., Shelekhova T.V.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
The aim of the research is to study and to analyze results of investigations of cytokine blood profile in patients with B-cellular chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. Materials and methods: Complex investigation of 60 patients with B-cellular chronic lymphocytic leukaemia has been carried out. Patients have been randomized into 4 groups of observation according to the severety of disease (classification of Rai K. R., 1975). Accepted methods of somatic status and he-matologic indices as well as method of flow cytometry for establishment of B-lymphocytes immune phenotype have been used. Cytokine levels were detected by enzyme immunodetection. Results: Regular peculiarity of cytokine status change in different forms of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia development has been an increase of interleukine-4, interleukine-6, interleukine-7, interleukine-10 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha levels in serum that is one of the main pathogenetic factor of intercellular interaction abnormality in lymphoid tissue in the chronic lymphocytic leukaemia development. Conclusion: Increased indications of cytokines content in blood may be used as diagnostic criteria of pathology severity and in evaluation of effectiveness of complex therapy of the disease, as well as a classification sign of severity of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia

In a new foreign market strategy of adaptation of the regional department of an international pharmaceutical company has its own peculiarities that arise from the specifics of the pharmaceutical market. In article the strategy to adapt to the new market has been discussed, as conceived plan for use of any of options available to the regional office. This range of options for adaptation will vary depending on the level of competition in different segments of the new market. In his article the author, based on the specifics of the pharmaceutical market, examines the impact of factors such as «competition» to choose a set of possibilities to adapt the regional office. The article is classified in the new market segments based on consumer awareness and choice in the way of treatment. In his article, the author discusses the different feature sets for adaptation the regional branch of pharmaceutical company in the new market. Conclusion: To achieve the desired level of adaptation to the new market under the current conditions (when the balance of power in favor of an informed buyer and seller competition), the regional office has to acquire and use every opportunity not only to meet but to exceed customer expectations

The main condition in achieving a favorable outcome is surgical treatment of patients with tumor-like diseases and benign bone tumors erosion of neoplasm within the healthy tissues. To reduce the number of recurrences the various chemical and physical methods on resection areas have been performed. The authors have proposed a new method of low temperature plasma treatment of bone tissue with the temperature of 20000°C. Exposing the plasma flow on bone tissue leads to loss of all cellular elements including neoplastic elements with preservation of the mineral bone structure. The direct correlation between the capacity of the plasma flow and intensity of bone destruction has been defined. This allows a differentiated use of plasma destruction in skeletal bones according to anatomy, size and type of bone tissue (spongy or cortical) as well as patient's individual condition of the tissue
