To obtain information the questionnaire was developed for the students, it included 16 questions. Only free methods and programs were used by students. Questioning was carried out among students of 3-5 years of studying at stomatological faculty. Results. This questioning was entered into the computer StatLib program. (100%) the students interrogated by us use everything IT-technologies in course of training to some extent, are active users of personal computer and Internet, use of SSMU educational portal and prefer to receive information in electronic form. Conclusion. Learning efficiency, according to questionnaire, rises while using IT-technologies.

The purpose of the article is to study motivation of students of medical schools in choice of profession of the doctor and dynamics of defining motives in educational space of university. Material and methods: 497 students of the 1 st course took part in comparative research (356 students of medical faculty and 141 students of pediatric faculty) and 382 students of the 6th course (270 students of medical faculty and 112 students of pediatric faculty) of Saratov state medical university n.a. V. I. Razumovsky. In research methods of questioning and statistical data processing have been used. Results: The comparative analysis of the maximum and minimum values of the main types of motivation in professional field choice allowed to determine leading motives in medical students, and also to reveal their dynamics connected with various stages of professionalizing in the course of receiving medical education. Conclusion: Professional self-determination of the student of medical school has a multi-vector focus of structure of motivation. Determination by internal motives is supplemented with influence of external motivation, both positive, and negative value. In students of the 6th course indicators of motives included «Prestige», «Opportunity to help people», «Possibility of use of professional skills out of work».

The research goal is to confront the duration of withholding operative therapy of obstructed inguinal hernias with peculiarities of medical and social and psychological status of patients. Materials and methods: 186 patients with inguinal hernias aged from 25 to 60 years were examined. Duration of withholding operative therapy was determined from the moment of officially established diagnosis to the moment of admission to surgical hospital. Results: Medical aid to patients with inguinal hernias who went to the hospital by themselves is no more than 29% and in most cases (53,6%) diagnosis is officially established while staying in health care institutions with other diseases, 94,6% of patients realized the fact that full recovery from inguinal hernias was possible only after surgical procedures. Conclusion: In the first year after establishment of diagnosis consent to surgical treatment of inguinal hernias is associated with the age under 30, higher education, the presence of partially or entirely unreduced inguinal hernia, prevalence of such qualities of charac-
ter as psychasthenia, paranoia, hypomania. In five-six years after official establishment of diagnosis patients aged over 50 years with higher education and prevailing of such qualities of character as hypohondria, depression, psychasthenia give their consent to surgical treatment of inguinal hernia regardless of its type and size.

Analysis of postoperative complications in lavsan prosthesis of trachea

Year: 2013, volume 9 Issue: №2 Pages: 324-328
Heading: Surgery Article type: Original article
Authors: Goryainov D.A.
Organization: Kursk State Medical University

Objective: to study the nature of the complications in the experiment (in prosthesis concerning trachea and lungs) in lavsan tracheal prosthesis. Materials and methods: An experimental study was carried out on 27 mongrel dogs, divided into groups: the first group was replaced with lavsan prosthesis of 1h1sm tracheal defect (n = 9); in the second group cartilage defect of half-rings of the trachea 4 * 1,5 cm (n = 9) was replaced; in the third group circular tracheal defect was replaced with removing of three half-rings (1.5 cm) (n = 9). The dynamics of change in clinic in animals after surgery was evaluated. All the animals were performed in the dynamics tracheoscopy At autopsy after the period of 2, 4 and 8 weeks changes in the nature of tracheal prostheses and lungs were evaluated. Results: In all the animals of the first group there were no postoperative complications, the prosthesis was covered with mucous from the lumen of the trachea, lung lesions were not observed. Animals of the second and the third group were observed. Coughing on the second day after surgery, the prosthesis deformity of varying severity, lung lesions typical to pneumonia were revealed. Conclusion: Lavsan tracheal prosthesis is acceptable only if it has small defects.

Aim: To represent a case report of extensive left atrial myxoma removal with permanent pacemaker implantation. Methods: A 56-year old female patient admitted to the Bakulev Center of Cardiovascular Surgery with cardiac evaluation. She noted progressive chest pain associated with dyspnea and fatigue. After physical examination, transthoracic echocardiography and other methods of evolution confirmed the diagnosis: Tumor of the left atrium. Left atrial dilatation. Left ventricle hypertrophy. Arterial hypertension 2 stage of high risk. Circulatory failure 2 stage (by Strazhesko-Vasilenko), functional class II by NYHA. The huge tumor was successfully excised with closure of atrial septal defect by patch. Results: Transthoracic echocardiography in postoperative period showed a normal left and right ventricular function and no residual shunts. The presence of conduction abnormalities in early postoperative period predicted the need for permanent pacemaker implantation. Conclusions: It must be noted rare occurrence of a huge tumor (myxoma) filling left atrium. Large left atrial tumor is approached by biatrial incision with further excision. It is believed that the case can be beneficial in huge cardiac tumors management. Early detection and surgical treatment of heart tumors can reduce the risk of heart failure, systemic embolization, syncope and sudden cardiac death.

Research objective: Creation of mathematical prognosis of model of local relapsing tumors in patients with prostate cancer after treatment by high-intensive focused ultrasound (HIFU). Objects and Research Methods: Results of treatment are estimated at 102 patients with morphologically localized prostate cancer proved at biopsy. For the purpose to analyze interrelation of prognostic factors and postoperative morphological research of prostate control biopsies after HIFU ablation with frequent development of relapses comparative statistical research of received data has been conducted. For construction of mathematical models of relapse prognosis after HIFU of prostates two methods of mul-tifactorial analysis of the data have been used: the discriminant analysis and logistical regress. Results: While planning treatment of patients after HIFU ablation of prostates it has been necessary to estimate morphological risk factors of local relapse of a neoplasm such as preoperative level of serum PSA, the sum of Gleason, severity of disease, presence of lymphovascular and perineural invasion. The offered formulas are worth while using in revealing of probability of development of relapses. The comparative analysis of mathematical models has showed that accuracy of prognosis of results of HIFU of prostates is high enough.

The purpose: The study was performed to estimate the valeologic knowledge in adolescent girls. Material and methods: The study included 169 girls (aged 12-18). The anonymous questioning, the lessons on a healthy life style and sexual education were conducted. Results: The investigation showed that girls have had low level of the healthy life style and sexual education. More than half of girls in this study had no accurate understanding about the menstruation, normal sexual development. After the healthy life style lessons among the girls the level of valeologic knowledge was increased in 1.5-5 times. Conclusion: The awareness among girls on issues related to sexual and reproductive health through valeologic and sex education may be developed by means of school programs.
