Purpose: To improve the quality of anesthetic protection in prosthetics of large joints based on a steady state energy balance. Materials and methods: Prospective, randomized study on the basis of a controlled hemodilution (CM) double mask has been performed. In the first group of patients (32-19 women) hemodilution (HS) has not been done. The second group of patients (31-17) consisted of patients with HS. Three phases of the survey have been selected — before surgery, traumatic phase of the operation, after the operation. Analyzed the parameters of central hemodynamics (Cl (I/ min/m2) and total peripheral vascular resistance TPVR (dyn * sec1 * cm5), gas exchange (DO (ml / min) and V02 (ml / min), energy metabolism (kcal / min; kcal / day). For data processing statistical package STATISTICA6,0 was used. Results: Central hemodynamic parameters in both groups did not significantly change, and did not differ between the groups. A significant reduction in D02. DO differences between groups of patients at all stages of the studies found has been determined in both groups of patients. Oxygen consumption in the first group of patients decreased significantly to traumatic phase of the operation, and the next stage rose to baseline. Oxygen consumption in the group with CM increased by traumatic phase of the operation, but then returned to baseline. In patients with CM oxygen consumption was significantly higher than in patients without CM at all time points. It is found that there is a significant drop in energy metabolism in the first group of patients in traumatic phase of the operation, followed by reduction of the energy poten-
tial. It is noted that insignificant increase of energy on stage traumatic operation in the second group of patients, with a subsequent decrease to the original level. Energy exchange at all stages of the study was significantly higher in the second group of patients. Logistic regression analysis found that controlled hemodilution is associated with increased energy metabolism at the stage prior to surgery for traumatic stage and after the intervention. Conclusion: It has been established a connection with the growth of energy controlled hemodilution with radical intervention on the hip joint. Substantial energy deficit in patients without HS on traumatic phase of the operation reveals that the high probability of occurrence of cardiovascular complications.

Purpose: Pathogenetic study of new diagnostic and prognostic criteria for evaluation of pregnancy in terms of the cytokine profile of blood. Materials and methods: The analysis of anti-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory cytokines in the blood of 50 pregnant women with preterm rupture of membranes in gestation of 22-34 weeks, who were treated at the Department of Pathology in pregnancy of Saratov Perinatal Center in 2012, was performed. The method of enzyme linked immunosorbent assay using test systems «Vector— Best» (Novosibirsk, Russia). Results:.Clinical and laboratory examination revealed an increase levels of IL-1(3, IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, TNF-a, while reducing the content of IL-4, IL-10 in blood. Conclusion: Manifest signs of possibility of prenatal rupture of membranes and premature labour in 22-34 weeks gestation are combined with increasing of IL-1(3, IL-6, IL-8, TNF-a, IL-2 and with decreasing of IL-10, IL-4 level in the blood, which indicates the need for monitoring the content of these cytokines in the blood for the diagnosis and prognosis of pregnancy.

Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Purpose: To study correlation of total body sizes, heart and aorta at adult men. Material and Methods: Heart and aorta organometry has been carried out at 80 corpses of adult men (31-70 years) with known anthropometrical parameters with the subsequent statistical and correlative analysis of results. Results: 3 types of constitution of men have been determined, correlations between anthropometrical, organometrical and age parameters have been defined. Conclusion: The heart sizes mostly depend on the age, the shape of thorax, and constitution type.

The purpose of the work is to study antitumor activity of flavonoid-containing extracts of anthocyan maize and gratiola in experiments in vivo and to estimate their effects on the internal organs, tumors and blood of rats with transplanted liver cancer PC-1. Materials and methods: Effect of extracts of anthocyan maize and gratiola has been studied in experiments in vivo in 30 laboratory rats with transplanted liver cancer PC-1 using morphological and biochemical methods. Results: It has been found that extract of gratiola received by a certain way has selective cytotoxic effect on tumor cells. Anthocyan maize extract reduces endogenous intoxication. Conclusion: These results open the prospect of further study of the extract of gratiola in various experimental models of cancer and anthocyan maize extract use may be developed as a means of endogenous intoxication reducing for application in the treatment of cancer. Investigation of anthocyan maize extract may assist in the development of drugs that reduce the endogenous intoxication at the treatment of cancer.

The purpose of the article is to assess the severity of the morphological changes in the internal organs of laboratory animals with prolonged oral administration of gold nanoparticles of different sizes. Material and methods: The experiment was carried out on 40 albino rats which were divided into 4 groups. Animals of the experimental group received oral gold nanoparticles by the appropriate scheme. Results: At comparing the morphological changes in the internal organs of laboratory animals it was established that the introduction of gold nanoparticles of different sizes leads to the same type of disturbances of morphological structure, the gold nanoparticles of 1-3 and 50 nm cause the most expressive changes. Conclusion: The most significant morphological modifications in the internal organs were caused by gold nanoparticles of 1-3 and 50 nm. It points out to the size-dependence of the effect of gold nanoparticles.

Organization: Ufa Scientific Research Institute of Occupational Health and Human Ecology
The purpose of the article is to examine the state of thyroid system in workers of mining and processing plant, working in harmful conditions. Materials and Methods: The working conditions of 407 workers of concentrator (study group) and 128 women workers of energy department (control group). The level of thyroid stimulating hormone and free thyroxine, anti-thyroid peroxidase and thyroglobulin has been determined in 88 women-workers of the main group and 82 women workers of control group. 80 women-workers of main group have been examined on the iodine content in the hair. Results: It has been found that the conditions of workers at enrichment of copper-zinc ore are characterized by the influence of these chemical factors, dust, industrial noise, adverse climate. In the study of blood serum and hair decreased levels of iodine in their hair and deviations due to decrease of thyroid function, and strengthening of the body»s autoimmune processes have been revealed. Conclusion: Harmful working conditions in concentrating factory cause the risk of pathology of the thyroid gland.

The aim of the study: Modification in the treatment of patients with herpes associated with psoriasis. Materials and methods: 30 patients were included in the study divided into two groups. In the 1st group the patients received standard treatment for herpes and two daily applications of cikloferon liniment for seven days. In the 2nd group the patients received only standard treatment for herpes. The patients were followed-up for six months. The study was open-label randomized. Results: The results obtained show that general infectious symptoms of herpes subsided considerably faster in the 1st group of patients treated with cikloferon liniment. The applications with the topical immunomodulator enhanced more dynamic disappearance of erosions. During the six months follow-up exacerbations of herpes were noted in 10% of patients in the 1st group and in 30% of patients in the second group. Cikloferon liniment was well tolerated and no side effects were noted. Conclusion: Cikloferon liniment used for the treatment of patients with herpes exacerbation associated with psoriasis contributes to more dynamic disappearance of infectious syndrome, enhances epithelization of herpetic erosions, and lowers the duration of erosions and local inflammation as well as the number of exacerbations in catamnesis.
