Since 1985 there were 1896 children from 3 to 14 years old with intra- and extraarticular fracture in our clinic for treatment. The original technique of perfocal compression osteosynthesis by mean of Kirschner’s wire with the thrust platform in combination with the external compressing device. The suggested technique allowed us to reduce the full period of therapy more than twice and to gain only excellent and good anatomic and functional results.

The peculiarities of traffic injuries of infants according to the mechanism of trauma were analyzed in the investigation.
For those infants, who were found into automobile, head injuries, craniocerebral traumas were typical. This trauma was more local, associated injuries were fixed more often. For those infants, who were hit by a car, more typical were head and limb injuries, isolated bone traumas. These injuries were vaster.
