The research goal is to determine the effectiveness of prosthetic treatment of adult patients with mesial occlusion in combination with defects of dentition in lateral parts. Materials: The object of study is based on 20 patients aged 20-59 years suffered from the considered disease. Results: As a result of clinical and laboratory studies functional impairment of temporal and mandibular joints and masticatory muscles has been revealed, both before and after prosthetic treatment. Conclusion: Prosthetic replacement contributes to replacement of defects of dentition. It has been noted that the restoration of optimum function of masticatory apparatus requires the preparatory phase of rehabilitation aimed at restoring the function loss

The research goal is to determine the clinical pathogenetic efficacy of Cycloferon liniment in the combined therapy of periodontitis in patients with subclinical stage of HIV-infection. Medical examination and treatment of 40 patients has been carried out. It is established that use of liniment Cycloferon in the combined treatment of patients with subclinical stage of HIV-infection allows to accelerate process of normalization of lipid peroxidation parameters and antioxidant potential of blood and to decrease infection (herpes symplex virus I, Candida albicans, staphylococcus aureus) in par-odontal recess and evidence of local inflammation. The considered method of therapy has been proved to improve convalescence period and to decrease frequency of parodontitis recurrences

The purpose of the study: rationale for selecting the method of immobilization of bone fragments of the mandible in patients with fractures, combined with chronic generalized periodontitis based on clinical and cytomorphological data. Materials and methods. Were examined 60 patients with mandibular fractures in combination with chronic generalized periodontitis who underwent immobilization of the mandible in various ways. Patients underwent clinical examination and conventional cytomorphological examination of the contents of periodontal pockets. As a result, found that patients in the orthopedic treatment of the dynamics observed progression of inflammatory-destructive processes. When immobilization of the mandible with intermaxillary fixation titanium screws and the surgical method of treating inflammation at the level of periodontal pockets cropped. Conclusion. Given the smaller number of inflammatory complications of mandibular fractures in patients who have used the maxillary fixation screws in titanium, this is the best

Objective. We investigated the diagnostic role of urinary IL-1b, IL-6 and IL-8 in children with different etiologic and pathogenic variants of chronic pyelonephritis. Material and methods. 132 patients (92 girls and 40 boys) aged 1-17 with chronic pyelonephritis were examined: 18 patients with primary pyelonephritis (I group); 114 with secondary pyelonephritis (II group); 30 patients without kidney disease completed control group. Results. Our data showed increasing level of all mediators of inflammation, especially in acute stage of pyelonephritis and with 10-years anamnesis. We suggested the role of IL-6 in nephrosclerosis. Conclusion. The content of urinary IL-1b, IL-6 reflects the level of kidney inflammation, and IL-8 — the degree of inflammation. We conclude that the level of urinary IL-8 could be a new indicator for nephrosclerosis

The study was undertaken to estimate the condition of mammary glands in adolescent girls. Material and methods. The study included 867 girls (aged 12-18). The questioning, total clinical examination, hormonal analysis and ultrasound examination were conducted. Results. The investigation shows that girls had breast dysmorphies (macromastia, hypoplasia, striae, asymmetry etc.). The dysplasia of mammary glands was diagnosed in 26% patients with menstrual disorders, thyroid diseases, mastalgia and obesity. High estradiol, LH, TSH, insulin, cortisole, testosterone and low progesterone level are the most specific hormonal markers of mastopathy in adolescent girls. Conclusion. Thyroid disorders, breast asymmetric form, mastalgia, obesity are the indicators for observation and examination of mammary glands

Research is devoted to assessing the state of the middle ear structures by usage of modern nanotechnology methods. The history of the problem, various ancient and modern methods for studying the mobility of the middle ear structures have been described. The results of the research of eardrum movements by laser autodyne and their value in differential diagnosis of ear diseases have been presented. The research goal is to assess vibrations of middle ear structures by modern nanotechnological techniques. Materials: The study included 207 persons, divided into groups of healthy individuals and patients with sensorineural deafness, otosclerosis, adhesive otitis and tubootitis. Results: Exact frequency response vibration patterns of the middle ear and tympanic membrane have been obtained. Measurements have been made in open sound field in normal ears and ears with various pathology of middle and inner ear. The value of this method in differential diagnosis of ear diseases has been investigated. Conclusion: The use of laser autodyne for measuring middle ear structures vibration is a perspective and objective method of assessing auditory function. It is very necessary in modern otolaryngology for differential diagnosis of hearing pathology

The article presents a detailed review on epidemiology, pathogenesis and interrelation of serotonin neuromedia-tor metabolism in the central nervous system in state of chronic pain and depression. It has been demonstrated that neurophysiological conditions serve as psychological defense of an individual. That mechanism has been proved to «transform» serious emotions onto the inner level (body) and it assists in the development of psychosomatic disorders — chronic pain syndrome

This paper presents the results of a survey of 50 patients to study the application of terahertz therapy of NO in the complex treatment of postoperative lumbar radiculopathy localization. Materials and methods. Using a visual analogue scale assessed the degree of regression of pain, depending on the nature of the therapy. For the diagnosis of intra-articular inflammation in the postoperative motor segment and a local mikrovaskulita determined the level of antibodies in the serum of patients to collagen and myeloperoxidase. The results suggest shortening pain and reducing the content of antibodies to MPO and collagen in patients receiving short-wave therapy. Therefore, we conclude that the use of NO therapy TGCH improves the treatment of postoperative lumbar radiculopathy localization

The aim of the study: To examine the sensitivity of mini-mental state examination (MMSE) and clock drawing test (CDT) in screening of cognitive function in patients with syphilis. Materials and methods A total of 1387 patients with different forms of documented neurosyphilis were examined to study the deficiency of neurological function. The diagnosis of neurosyphilis was confirmed by CSF-study. In 75 cases cognitive function was studied by MMSE and clock drawing test. Results: MMSE and clock drawing test showed cognitive dysfunction in 76,4% of patients with syphilis. The sensitivity of both tests was rather equal. Such tests could be made in a short time and are simple in understanding. Thus these tests could help in the everyday practice of dermatologists and neurologists as screening methods of cognitive dysfunction in patients with syphilis. Conclusion: The results of screening tests in patients with significant cognitive dysfunction could be used in the early diagnostics and corresponding treatment of neurosyphilis

Postural abnormalities are clinical syndromes that lead to disability in patients with Parkinson's disease. The aim of the study is to investigate the characteristics of postural control in different clinical forms of Parkinson's disease using a computer stabilometer examination. Materials and Methods: Clinical and neurophysiological analysis has been performed in 148 patients with Parkinson's disease who have been divided into groups with akineticorigid, shaking-rigid and shaking forms of the disease. All patients have experienced static stabilometer examination with medical-diagnostic complex «MBN-Biomechanics» (Scientific-Medical Firm MBN, Moscow). Results of the research have proved a significant decrease of compensatory abilities of balance maintenance and the basic standing without dependence on the clinical form of disease. It has been noted that a number of indices have been increased. It has been revealed, that the tremor at rest has influenced significantly the values of such indices. Dissociation between the clinical severity of postural instability and stabilometer indicators reflecting the state of the vertical balance of the body has been revealed. The study has confirmed the importance of the differentiated approach to stabilometer analysis in patients with different forms of Parkinson's disease. Conclusion: Computer stabilometry makes possible the detection of disturbances in postural functions and estimation of their condition in dynamics
