Organization: Medical Clinic "Medstom", Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The aim: to prove the necessity of professional oral hygiene before the fixation of permanent orthodontic equipment in individuals with dental and facial anomalies based on the study of biomarkers of gingival fluid. Materials and Methods: Clinical, cytological examination and gingival fluid test on cytokine levels in 80 patients. Results: In patients with dentofacial anomalies observed decline in hygiene index, and increase the content of gingival fluid neutrophils and degenerative epithelial cells. It is accompanied by an increase in the concentration of the main group of pro-inflammatory and osteogenic cytokines, growth factors. Conclusion: Preliminary conducting professional oral hygiene to orthodontic treatment in patients with dentofacial anomalies leads to the conservation values of satisfactory hygienic indices of the mouth. In this case, the increase in the content of gingival fluid neutrophils and degenerative epithelial cells, with increased concentrations of the main group of pro-inflammatory and osteogenic cytokines has been defined insignificant.

Peculiarities of clinical and immunological oral status in patients with lymphomas

Year: 2013, volume 9 Issue: №3 Pages: 428-431
Heading: Stomatology Article type:
Authors: Lepilin А.V., Kirillova Т.V., Erokina N.L.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The aim of the work is to study clinical and immunological features of oral cavity state and cytokine status of oral fluid in patients with lymphomas before treatment against the background of receiving cytostatic drugs. Material and methods. 50 patients with initial diagnosis of lymphoma were examined. We measured clinical indicators of oral cavity state. The quantitative measures of immunoglobulins, lysozyme activity, cytokine status were investigated in patients with lymphoma. Results. The pathological changes in the mucous membrane, the current active inflammatory process in parodentium, high intensity decay, as well as abnormalities in the local reactivity system and cytokine disbalance were revealed. Conclusion. The performed dental studies proved the fact, that before treatment has been applied the patients have already had complicated dental status and marked imbalance in the local immune system of oral cavity. When polychemotherapy has been applied certain intensification of mucosal immunity abnormalities has appeared. It was determined by intensification of clinical symptoms in oral cavity.

Choice justification of a method of immobilization in fractures of lower jaw in patients with chronic generalized periodontal disease of severe degree

Year: 2013, volume 9 Issue: №3 Pages: 387-389
Heading: Stomatology Article type: Original article
Authors: Erokina N.L., Lepilin А.V., Lyapina J.A., Fomin I.V., Rogatina Т.V.
Organization: First Moscow State Medical University n.a. I.M. Sechenov, Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The purpose of the study: rationalization of selecting of the method of immobilization of the fragments of the mandible in patients with fractures, combined with chronic generalized periodontitis. Material and Methods. There were 70 patients with mandibular fractures in combination with chronic generalized periodontitis who underwent immobilization of the mandible in various ways. Clinical examination of common cytokines and Cross laps of the contents of periodontal pockets have been carried out. The results revealed that patients in the orthopedic treatment of the dynamics observed progression of inflammatory-destructive processes. When immobilization of the mandible with intermaxillary fixation on the titanium screws and the surgical method of treating inflammation at periodontal pockets cropped. Conclusion. Considering inflammatory complications of mandibular fractures in patients who have used the intermaxillary fixation screws in titanium, it has been found out that this method is more optimal.

Changes in the trigeminal nerve under the infuence of cortexin in patients with chronic generalized periodontitis

Year: 2012, volume 8 Issue: №2 Pages: 481-484
Heading: Neurology Article type: Original article
Authors: Lepilin A.V., Sholomov I.I., Erokina N.L., Soyher M.G., Nozdrina V.D., Bisultanov H.W.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University, Center for Interdisciplinary Dentistry and Neurology, Moscow
Summary:

Purpose: correction of violations in the trigeminal nerve in patients with chronic generalized periodontitis. Material and methods. A clinical examination and study of the functional activity of the trigeminal nerve in 160 patients with chronic generalized periodontitis. Results. Revealed the presence of various degrees of violations of the functional activity of the trigeminal nerve depending on the severity of the pathological process in periodontal tissues. Conclusion.Neuroprotective therapy in the treatment of patients with periodontal disease leads to normalization of the neurophysi-ology of the trigeminal nerve and promotes more rapid relief of the infammatory process in periodontal tissues.

Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

Purpose: correction of vegetative disorders in patients with mandibular fractures. Material and methods. A total of 70 patients with mandibular fractures, both clinically and by additional survey methods: assessment of heart rate variability as a result cardiointervalography, catecholamine levels of red blood cells, rheovasography mental arteries.Results. In most patients studied, revealed marked activation of sympathetic nervous system, the tension of adaptation mechanisms, impaired regional blood fow. The connection between the incidence of fractures complicated course and severity of disorders of autonomic responses. Conclusion. The way of correction of vegetative disorders in patients with mandibular fractures.

Summary:

The purpose of the study: rationale for selecting the method of immobilization of bone fragments of the mandible in patients with fractures, combined with chronic generalized periodontitis based on clinical and cytomorphological data. Materials and methods. Were examined 60 patients with mandibular fractures in combination with chronic generalized periodontitis who underwent immobilization of the mandible in various ways. Patients underwent clinical examination and conventional cytomorphological examination of the contents of periodontal pockets. As a result, found that patients in the orthopedic treatment of the dynamics observed progression of inflammatory-destructive processes. When immobilization of the mandible with intermaxillary fixation titanium screws and the surgical method of treating inflammation at the level of periodontal pockets cropped. Conclusion. Given the smaller number of inflammatory complications of mandibular fractures in patients who have used the maxillary fixation screws in titanium, this is the best

THE CONDITION OF PERIODONTAL TISSUES IN PATIENTS WITH MANDIBULAR FRACTURES IN COMBINATION WITH INFLAMMATORY DISEASES OF PERIODONTIUM IN DYNAMICS OF TREATMENT

Year: 2008, volume 4 Issue: №1 Pages: 115-118
Heading: Stomatology Article type: Original article
Authors: A.V. Lepilin, N.L. Erokina, V.A. Titorenko, L.U. Ostrovskaja, H.U. Bisultanov
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The immobilization of broken fragments by two-jaw anchor splints in patients with the mandibular fractures in a combination with inflammatory diseases ofperiodontium usually causes the exacerbation and progression of the diseases and growing progressively worsening ofperiodontium status. The intensity of these conditions depends on an initial status ofperiodontal tissue. The posttraumatic suppurative inflammatory complications of the mandibular fractures frequency depending on the initial stage of periodontal disease are marked.
