Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №1 Pages: 164-170
Heading: Urology Article type: Review
Authors: P.V. Glybochko, V.M. Popkov
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The prostate cancer is a widespread disease in Russia with high growth rate and high death rate. Active work in discovery of methods of early diagnostics of prostate cancer is carrying out. it will allow to increase considerably the efficiency of treatment. the data on topography, structural and functional organization, physiology and regulatory effect of neuroendocrine cells and neuroendocrine hormones and peptides of prostate produced by neuroendocrine cells are presented in the review. Neuroendocrine mechanisms of development, prospects of early diagnostics and prognosis of prostate cancer are analyzed

ECONOMICAL OPERATIVE INTERVENTIONS IN LUNG CARCINOMA IN ELDERLY AND SENILE PATIENTS

Year: 2006, volume 2 Issue: №2 Pages: 55-58
Heading: Surgery Article type: Original article
Authors: A.S. Tolstocorov, E.N. Ramazanov
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

Indication for different variants of functionally sparing operations in carcinoma of the lung were determined from study of the longterm results. The indications for the type of bronchial resection were specified depending on the level of the neoplastic lesion of the bronchi and the condition of the intrathoracic lymph nodes. The problem of sublobar lung resection ( segmentectomy) in early form of peripheral carcinoma is discussed. One of the ways of extending the age-specific operability and of reducing the incidence of cardiopul-monary complications is the performance ( ac-cording to indications) of economic intervene-tions among which lobectomy should be maximal.

SOME MORPHOLOGICAL PECULIARITIES OF THE NERVOUS COMPONENT OF COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS AND THEIR CELLULAR MICROSURROUNDINGS IN TISSUES OF SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA OF CERVIX OF THE UTERUS

Year: 2006, volume 2 Issue: №2 Pages: 53-55
Heading: Obstetrics and Gynecology Article type: Original article
Authors: V.V. Sudilivskaya, I.A. Bechtereva
Organization: Smolensk State Medical Academy
Summary:

The research has shown presence of the adrenergic and cholinergic of vegetative nervous terminals (VNT) in tissues of squamous cell carcinoma of cervix of the uterus in a zone of tumoral growth and in contralateral to the side. Heterogeneity of the local neuromediator background in tumor morphogenesis in a zone of tumoral growth and in contralateral to the side can be clarified through studying the peculiarities of the VNT cellular microsurroundings . But this is a subject matter of further researches.

SPECIFIC FEATURES IN DIAGNOSING MULTIPLE PRIMARY SYNCHRONOUS MALIGNANT MAMMARY NEOPLASMS

Year: 2007, volume 3 Issue: №4 Pages: 102-107
Heading: Oncology Article type: Original article
Authors: T.N. Popova, T.D. Selezneva
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

Research objective: to clear up the specific features in diagnostics and the reasons for introduced errors in diagnosing multiple primary synchronous malignant neoplasms with one of their localization in a mammary gland.
Sources and methods: The present research is based on medical histories and questionnaires of 92 patients (1 group and control group) suffering from synchronous multiple neoplasms.
Results: It was found out that at multiple primary processes the primary neoplasms (tumors) are usually located in a mammary gland (89.1 ± 3.2%); their presentation is asymptomatic on the one third of patients (31.9 ± 4.1%); those tumors are usually detected by the patients (68.5 ± 4.8%).
The second and the following tumors are localized in a mammary gland (56.4 ± 5.2%) and a thyroid gland (26.1 ± 4.6%) in most cases. The presentation of a tumor is not usually clinically significant on the half of the patients (50.0 ± 5.2%); that is why a tumor is not usually detected on 23.9 ± 4.4% of the patients at medical examination.
The reasons for overlooked tumors: 1) incomplete medical examination of patients (54.5 ± 5.2%); 2) low skill level of doctors responsible for medical examination (27.3 ± 4.7%); 3) difficulties at conducting clinicopathologic diagnostics (18.2 ± 2.8%).

INFLUENCE OF DURATION OF THE PREOPERATIVE PERIOD ON THE REMOTE RESULTS OF TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH INVASIVE CANCER OF BLADDER

Year: 2007, volume 3 Issue: №3 Pages: 87-90
Heading: Urology Article type: Original article
Authors: P.V. Glybochko, A.Y. Korolev, K. Lie
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

Influence of the factor of time on the remote results of treatment of patients invasive cancer of a bladder remains enough an actual problem. The group of studying made 541 patient, of them men - 425, women - 116. Middle age of patients at the moment of performance cystectomy has made 64,3 years. The average period of time from the moment of an establishment of the diagnosis before performance cystectomy was equaled 2,1 months (from 0,3 up to 12). The period of time more than 3 months was almost independent criterion (р = 0,057), connected with the worse survival rate of patients in comparison with the period less than 3 months from the beginning of installation of the diagnosis before performance cystectomy.
