Summary:

The purpose of the study is to analyze the structure of eye cancer, its auxiliary structures and the eye socket of Orenburg region residents over the period of time from 2016 to 2017. Material and Methods. The article presents the analysis of the archival material of 294 medical histories (form №003/y) of patients with eye and its subsystem's neoplasms from the Second Ophthalmological Department of the State Medical Institution № 1. The study was carried out on an unselected sample. Results. We obtained data on the prevalence of malignant forms that most often occur in women over 18 (62%). According to histology data, basal cell carcinomas and melanomas with predominant localization on the skin of the eyelids are more common, including adhesions (70.6%) and the vascular membrane of the eye (20%). It is shown that concomitant pathology of the eye and other organs does not significantly affect the development of eye tumors. Conclusion. For timely detection of eye neoplasms and its subsystems, it is necessary to conduct a thorough examination of women of the retirement age in medical institutions at the place of their residence.

Summary:

Purpose: to analyze incidence of neoplasms of the eye, ocular adnexa and orbit of the inhabitants of the Orenburg region in 2017 Material and Methods. The article presents an analysis of archival material from 123 case histories in patients with neoplasms of the eye and its adnexal apparatus, who were treated in 2nd Ophthalmology Department of the State Budgetary Health Institution "OOKB No.1". The case histories were analyzed consecutively. Results. Data on the prevalence (63.4%) of malignant neoplasms of the eye in women of retirement age were obtained. According to pathology, eyelid basalioma was most common — 67.3% followed by choroid melanoma — 23.6%. The localization frequency of neoplasms is as follows: malignant neoplasm of the conjunctiva 4.4%, benign neoplasm of the conjunctiva 12.9%, malignant neoplasms of the eyelid skin, including eyelids commissure 56.5%, benign neoplasms of the eyelid skin, including eyelids commissure 31.5%, choroid malignant neoplasms 30.4%, benign choroid neoplasms 3.7%, benign neoplasms of cornea 9.3%, malignant orbital tumors 8.7%, benign tumors of the orbit 42.6%. Conclusion. Women of retirement age need to be screened for malignant eye tumors.

Morbidity by skin melanoma among various population groups of Samara region

Year: 2018, volume 14 Issue: №1 Pages: 016-019
Heading: Health Service Organization Article type: Original article
Authors: Neretin E.Yu., Utyashev I.A.
Organization: National Medical Research Center of Oncology n.a. N.N. Blokhin
Summary:

The aim: to study the dynamics of the incidence of skin melanoma among various population groups of the multi-million territory. Material and Methods. Primary accounting records for 21 years (1995-2016) on the newly diagnosed disease, annual reports of the Samara Regional Clinical Oncology Center, annual statistical reports of the established form (Form 7 and Form 35). The following statistical methods were used: extrapolation method, linear and polynomial regression model. Results. The results indicate an increase in the incidence of skin melanoma among older people. Conclusions are drawn about the need to organize screening examinations among groups with a high incidence of skin melanoma.

"Machine vision" application in digital dermoscopy for suspected melanoma of the skin

Year: 2014, volume 10 Issue: №2 Pages: 281-285
Heading: Oncology Article type: Original article
Authors: Kozlov S.V., Neretin E.Yu., Kukolkina V.V.
Organization: Samara State Medical University
Summary:

This article discusses one of the problems of oncology diagnosis of melanoma. Relevance of the topic has been supported by the fact that the annual incidence of patients with cancer pathology is constantly increasing. Various methods of diagnostics have been determined, but at the same time early diagnosis of melanoma is a problem. The aim is to reveal the possibilities of automated data processing during digital dermoscopy of melanoma in a specialized center. To solve this problem, the following materials and methods have been used: records for the period of 16 years (1996-2010), annual reports of Samara Regional Clinical Oncology Center of newly diagnosed melanoma of skin, annual statistical reports to the State Statistical Committee. The results indicate higher diagnostic accuracy in a specialized center and the advantages of digital dermoscopy in comparison with visual inspection, comparable with a qualified inspection in a specialized center. The article concludes that the possibility of use of this expert system on specialized levels is considered as a secondary factor in the diagnosis and the choice of treatment.

Studies of pathological changes in mitogenetic signal pathways in cells in cancer patients using OncoFinder software package

Year: 2013, volume 9 Issue: №4 Pages: 775-780

Organization: State Scientific Research Center n.a. A.I. Burnasyan — Federal Medical Biophysical Center of Federal Medical Biological Agency, RAS Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry
Summary:

Although the basic components of a plethora of mitogenic, pro- and antiapoptotic etc. signaling pathways had been thoroughly studied and summarized during a couple of past decades, the particular pattern of changes for a given cancer patient has not yet been at the focus of a special research until now. Here we suggest the possible method of
the examination of the different malignant processes influencing the intensity of pro- and anti-mitotic signaling. According to our approach, first the tumor sample (that is taken from an individual patient) is studied using mRNA microarray technique, when the expression levels (normalized by the averaged value for the same intact organ/tissue for the same population) for several thousands of genes in the malignant cells is measured. Second, these expression levels are used to calculate the summarized values of pathological changes in mitogenic signaling pathways.

The analysis of a case rate a skin melanoma in the Samara region for 1999-2009

Year: 2011, volume 7 Issue: №2 Pages: 457-460
Heading: Oncology Article type: Original article
Authors: Kozlov S.V., Neretin E.J.
Organization: Samara State Medical University
Summary:

In article one of oncology problems — a skin melanoma is surveyed. The theme urgency proves to be true that annually the case rate of patients with an oncologic pathology is constantly enlarged. One of oncology problems still has a skin melanoma. The work purpose is studying of a case rate by a skin melanoma in large industrial area on an example of the Samara region over the last 10 years. In article one of oncology problems — a skin melanoma is surveyed. For the task in view decision following materials and methods were used: primary registration documentation for 11 years (1999-2009) About for the first time taped disease a skin melanoma, annual reports of the Samara regional clinical oncologic dispensary, annual statistical reports of the State statistical committee, bureau MSE annual reports. At processing and the forecast of results of research following statistical methods — an extrapolation method, model of linear regress were used. Reliability of the taped pattern of dynamics was defined by means of an error of regress with the subsequent definition t and p. The received results testify to growth of a case rate of all population of the Samara region at the expense of the senior age groups. According to the analysis the invalid population is more often is ill. Conclusions are drawn on appreciable influence on occurrence of this pathology occurring in an organism involutes processes, necessity of carrying out of sanitary-educational work, carrying out of additional profound inspection among the population with high level of a case rate
