Summary:

Objective: to study exotoxin A Pseudomonas aeruginosa influence on physical and mental efficiency of white rats. Material and Methods. The experiments were carried out on white rats following intraperitoneal injections of exotoxin A Pseudomonas of different doses (0.1,0.5 and 1.0 LD50). Physical and mental efficiency of white rats was determined by the scheme of "Machfs camera". Results. Introducing exotoxin A Pseudomonas of 1 LD50 there was conditioned response damage in 20% of animals. The amount of cases of physical incapacity introducing highly effective doses of exotoxin A Pseudomonas overcomes the amount of cases of reaction destruction (44%). Conclusion. Exotoxin A Pseudomonas aeruginosa does not reveal a selective effect on the central nervous system and significant influence on physical efficiency of white rats.

Systemic inflammatory response and cytokine profile at burn injury in dynamics

Summary:

The aim of the article is to study the dynamics of indices of systemic inflammation in correlation with the following factors: the outcome of the disease, disturbances in proinflammatory cytokines rate and vascular endothelial dysfunction markers rate at burn injury in dynamics. Material and Methods. 152 patients with burn injuries over 30 units by Frank's index were under the study. The research on the level of interleukins, endothelial vessels growth factor, macrophage chemotactic protein, level of endothelin and C-reactive protein was performed with quantitative immuno-enzymatic detection. The amount of circulating of desquamated endothelial cells was accounted by phase-contrast microscopy. Results. Proinflammatory cytokines rate and vascular endothelial dysfunction markers rate significantly increase reaching their maximum indices to the 7-15th day of burn injury and indicating the expressiveness of systemic inflammatory response syndrome. Conclusion. The received data have become important in the determination of increased number of criteria of systemic inflammatory response syndrome depending on the outcomes of the burn injury and endothelial dysfunction development.

Summary:

The article presents the review of contemporary concepts of tumor induction mechanisms applicable for neoplastic transformation, promotion and proliferation. The paper also contains an in-depth analysis of results of authors' own observations and study of immunological protection mechanisms of a significant number of patients diagnosed with oncopathologies of mammary and thyroid glands as well as adenocarcinoma of ascending colon. We have established common development patterns of T-cell and B-cell immunodeficiencies that are not influenced by location and proliferation of neoplastic tumors; the progress of such immunodeficincies, however, depends on regional metastasis development. Thus, we can conclude that insufficiency of immunological defense mechanisms leading to disruption of maligned cell elimination process is the primary pathogenic factor for metastatic tumor development.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa exotoxin A-induced hepatotoxicity in dynamics: an animal model in white mice

Summary:

Purpose: to study biochemical indices of peripheral blood which show organs functional changes. Material and Methods. The experiments were carried out on white mice in dynamics development of pseudomonas aeruginosa caused by intraperitoneal injection of various dosage of exotoxin A. Results. The dosage-dependent disturbances in activity of transaminases, a-HBDH, in content of proteins, lipids and cholesterol were revealed. The received data have determined the hepatotoxic effect of pseudomonas aeruginosa exotoxin A on changes of biochemical blood markers of liver function. Conclusion. The expressed hepatotoxic effect of Pseudomonas aeruginosa exotoxin A has been determined during all the phases of experiment even at sublethal toxin dose.

Summary:

Lipids are one of the main components of cellular membranes. Lipids make up 30-55% of the cell content depending on the types of cells. Phospholipids, sphingomyelins, cholesterol, etc. are characteristic to cellular membranes. The composition of lipids of the both sides of the membranes differs. This fact determines asymmetry of the structure of bili-pid layer. The reason for many pathologies is the changes in the properties of cellular membranes with the modification of their components. The study of structure and functioning of cellular biomembranes is essential for many researchers. The condition of membranes, their quality, their quantitative composition and modification under the influence of different factors as well as their interaction with carbohydrate and protein component are of great importance for the functioning of both membranes, cells and the body in general. Analysis and structuring of lipids and their functions in biological membranes are studied.
