It was found that there were significant shortcomings in the individual items in the preventive work of medical organizations. Results. There has been determined the awareness of health care supervisors about normative-legal acts regulating prophylactic work; use of corresponding informational-methodical materials; management of registration documents and submission of reporting documents; performance of primary, secondary and tertiary prophylactic measures; realization of means and methods of hygienic upbringing and education of patients; activities of offices (departments) of medical prophylaxis. It has been established that the condition of prophylactic work in medical organizations of the Saratov region is at the satisfactory level but needs to be optimized. The directions of optimization are determined by the necessity to raise the levels of a number of characteristics analyzed. None of the considered measures of the first prophylaxis has been evaluated with the mark "good", (> 4,0 points); some measures of the secondary prophylaxis (purposeful sanitary-hygienic education of patients and members of their families in skills of care associated with a certain disease or with a group of diseases, etc.) (2 points) have been evaluated with the mark "unsatisfactory"; the state of the tertiary prophylaxis has been evaluated on the whole with the mark "satisfactory", i.e. 3,4 points. Authors: Chernyshkova E.V., Zaviyalov A.l., Tupikin D.V., Denishev R.R., Uzhakhov A.M., Uzhakhov T.M., Andriyanova E.A.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

.The goal of the workwasto determine on the basis of sociological research the representation of medical students about the possible risks of sexual relations. Materials and methods. The survey of 659 students of medical and pediatric faculties of Saratov State Medical University n.a. V. I. Razumovsky and Volgograd State Medical University. Results of the research demonstrate that the most significant risks of sexual relations considered by the students are sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancy. However, despite a high level of awareness of probability of their occurrence less than a half of the students always use necessary remedies to avoid these risks, this fact allows to refer students to a group with an increased risk of STI and unwanted pregnancy. It is determined that self-treatment practice in regard to STI is not wild-spread among medical students due to the presence of deeper knowledge about reproduc- tive health. Conclusion. The analysis of author's research data and the works devoted to the problem of sexual relations risks among youth allows to state the imbalance between students' knowledge of sexual contacts risks and their real behavioral practices, and a significant decrease in the level of preventive work. Medical students can be considered as a resource for optimizing this type of work with students of high schools, colleges and other universities.

Organization: State Scientific Research Center n.a. A.I. Burnasyan — Federal Medical Biophysical Center of Federal Medical Biological Agency
Summary:

The aim of the article: to assess the dynamics of the population coverage of preventive inspections dentists. Material and methods: analytical, statistical, and direct observation. Results. Increase in the number of patients receiving artificial limbs, for example, in the North Caucasus Federal District (+21.8% from 2008 to 2009) And Far East (-30.1 % over the same period). Given that in the North Caucasus Federal District smallest number of patients received pros-theses, such a growth indicator may be due to the volume of supply in the region, taking into account the needs of the population. The sharp decline in the availability of prosthetic patients Far East against the background of dissonance between sanitized and in need of rehabilitation patients with sufficient personnel potential evidence of regional problems in dental care. Even more interesting is the distribution of the proportion of patients who received free dentures. In the North Caucasus Federal District, along with an increase in the total number of patients who received artificial limbs, sharply reduced the proportion of patients who received them free of charge (-64.9% from 2008 to 2009). In a number
of countries have not produced any free prosthetics. Conclusion. Reduced the number of patients who received pros-theses, especially for free. The most unfavorable situation is observed in the North Caucasus Federal District (-64.9%), mainly due to the Chechen Republic and the Republic of Dagestan, where the figure is zero. The current situation in the field of dental care, requires a differentiated approach and to adequately address problems from a regional perspective.
