General antioxidant activity of blood of patients with limited sclerodermia and its correction

Summary:

Objective: to increase efficiency and to reduce the time of treatment of patients with circumscribed sclerodermia. Material and Methods. 60 patients with circumscribed sclerodermia were under supervision. Two groups of these patients were formed with method of adaptive randomization. In the comparison group the patients received standard therapy according to the federal clinical guidelines. In the general group the standard complex treatment with additional antioxidant therapy was underwent. The course of treatment in all patients was 21 days. The results of treatment were evaluated in accordance with the dynamics of cutaneous pathological process and the concentration of common an-tioxidants. Results. Based on the obtained results of the assessment of the dynamics of the cutaneous pathological process, it is obvious that the regress of dermatosis was more rapid and more active in the general group and was accompanied by a more pronounced increase in the total antioxidant activity of the blood. Conclusion. The proposed method of treatment, having an antioxidant effect and high clinical efficacy, enhances the general antioxidant activity of the blood and allows reducing the duration of treatment of patients with circumscribed scleroderma and, as a consequence, the course of systemic and local corticosteroid therapy.

Summary:

Objective: to improve treatment of patients with limited sclerodermia (LSD) by increasing efficiency and reducing the time of their treatment. Material and methods. The examination and treatment of 52 patients with circumscribed scleroderma were conducted. Two groups of these patients were formed with method of adaptive randomization. In the control group complex treatment was underwent according to the standards in this nosology. In the general group the patients additionally received antioxidant therapy. The course of treatment was 21 days in both groups. Results. Treatment results were evaluated in accordance with the dynamics of cutaneous pathological process and cytokine profile. In the course of treatment positive clinical dynamics in patients of the study group went faster and was accompanied by a more pronounced reduction in inflammatory activity in the blood serum. Conclusion. The results suggest that antioxidant therapy improves the efficiency and reduces the treatment time of patients with circumscribed sclerodermia.

Summary:

Article examines the role of free-radical oxidation of lipids and antioxidant systems in the development and characteristics of MS disease course. Oxidant-antiradical status was assessed in problem research laboratory of Clinical Biophysics, and antioxidant therapy Smolensk State Medical Academy with two direct methods of control - hemolumin-sention and radiospectroscopy and mathematical definition of the integral indexof the bioradical imbalance (coefficient K). Increase of degree EDSS was shown by activation of lipid peroxidation against background of tension in the antioxidant defense system, as well as free radical imbalance, which progressively intensified in direct proportion to rise on disease progression and the gravity of clinical manifestations of disease. Detected changes was determined by disease course and gravity of clinical manifestations of disease. Determined a direct correlation intensity of lipid peroxidation et antioxidant activity processes in patients with MS in ecologically unfavorable areas of the city of Bryansk
