Summary:

Aims. The study presents the results of experimental research to verify the principle overlay for maximum permissible levels (MPL) of multicolor laser radiation single exposure on eyes. This principle of the independence of the effects of radiation with each wavelength (the imposing principle), was founded and generalized to a wide range of exposure conditions. Experimental verification of this approach in relation to the impact of laser radiation on tissue fundus of an eye, as shows the analysis of the literature was not carried out. Material and methods. Was used in the experimental laser generating radiation with wavelengths: Л1 =0,532 microns, A2=0,556to 0,562 microns and A3=0,619to 0,621 urn. Experiments were carried out on eyes of rabbits with evenly pigmented eye bottom. Results. At comparison of results of processing of the experimental data with the calculated data it is shown that these levels are close by their parameters. Conclusions. For the first time in the Russian Federation had been performed experimental studies on the validity of multi-colored laser radiation on the organ of vision. In view of the objective coincidence of the experimental data with the calculated data, we can conclude that the mathematical formulas work.

Summary:

Aims: to reveal regularities of change of peripheral blood indicators in the long-term acute radiation syndrome (ARS) depending on its initial severity and existence of various somatic diseases. Material and methods. Clinical he-matologic materials from 114 patients in the long-term ARS (from 1,5 to more than 20 years after radiation accident), developed as a result of gamma beta exposure are presented. Results. In the period of the late radiation effect average values of peripheral blood are in physiological norm limits. However at some patients there are temporary superficial cytopenic conditions (thrombocytopenia — 22,7%, a leukopenia — 12,2%, a neutropenia — 13,1%, a lymphocytope-nia — 10,5%). Conclusion. As a result of a dynamic research it is revealed that in the remote terms of ARS (from 1,5 to more than 20 years after radiation) average group levels of erythrocytes, leukocytes, neutrophils and lymphocytes in blood are in limits of physiological norm. However in the individual analysis of a functional state of blood at a part of patients are noted not stable cytopenic states.

Summary:

Aim: the study of the physical effect of the local dose increasing in biological tissue at the gadolinium-containing drug under the influence of X-ray radiation. Material and Methods. Experimental and three independent numerical methods are obtained distribution of the absorbed dose in tissue-equivalent phantom containing a model of the tumor with a given concentration of gadolinium. Results. The presence of a gadolinium-containing drug in the biological tissue (1% Gd by weight) leads to a local increase of an absorbed dose up to 2 times under the influence of X-ray radiation. The difference in the results obtained calculated and experimental methods does not exceed 12%. Conclusion. The results of the study confirmed the basic theoretical background photon capture therapy, as well as the legal use of methods of mathematic modeling of the process of forming radiation in biological tissue, necessary for dosimetric photon capture therapy planning.

Summary:

Aim: the analysis of epidemiological monitoring of Parkinson's disease. Material and Methods. We conducted the full-design population study in the six closed administrative-territorial unit (Seversk, Zarechniy, Ozersk, Lesnoy, Sarov and Zheleznogorsk) with an adult's population about 450000 in the period from 2009 to 2012. For collecting information was developed the register of PD. Results. 588 patients with PD were revealed and enrolled, including 302 patients, who were revealed in the first. Primary morbidity was 11.0 per 100000 population in 2009, and in 2010 and 2011 it was 25.7 and 22.7 per 100000 population respectively. By the beginning of 2012 was so-called "dredging" of patients from population (revealing of all patients, who were not revealed earlier) and was 8.5 per 100000. Total morbidity for 4 years of observation increased: so in 2009 it was 33.1 per 100000, in 2010-92.5 per 100000, in 2011-114,2 per 100000, and in 2013-118,7 per 100000, the same like international data. The Evolution of sex and age structure according to the Register's data showed: 1) peak of morbidity at age 70-74 years, with the decay over 85 years; 2) morbidity was higher in men aged 70-74 years and older. Conclusion. Implementation of the Register of PD's patients annually allowed to monitoring of the morbidity and statistically significant show the basic epidemiological evidence and undertake federal and sampling comparative studies, it is necessary for evaluation of the changes of Parkinson's disease status, which can't be done on the basis of the state statistical dates.

Year: 2013, volume 9 Issue: №4 Pages: 863-866
Heading: Neurology Article type: Original article
Authors: Krivonos O.V.
Organization: State Scientific Research Center n.a. A.I. Burnasyan — Federal Medical Biophysical Center of Federal Medical Biological Agency
Summary:

The aim of the research was to study the significance of morbidity of Parkinson's disease (PD) and mortality in Russian Federation in international comparisons. Material and Methods: In accordance with the purpose of the study the morbidity and mortality were analyzed in the Russian Federation on the basis of volumes "Morbidity in Russia" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in 2009-2012, "Human resources for health care institutions" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in 2012, tables С 51 about the mortality of subjects of the Russian Federation in 2012, data of mortality from Parkinson's disease in different countries in 2011, published by WHO. Results. The analysis of data on the morbidity patterns showed that in the Russian Federation in 2009-2012 there was an increase in general morbidity of adult patients with PD from 75.1 to 87.7 per thousand of populations. The data of primary morbidity in the adult population of the Russian Federation from PD also tend to increase from 8.0 to 8.5 per thousand of populations. The sharp fluctuations of mortality's data were revealed in subject of Russian Federation that was related of unreliable data. Mortality from PD in Russian Federation in 2012 was 0.31 per thousand of populations. Conclusion. The values in the study of general and primary PD's morbidity in the Russian Federation were lower than performance in international comparisons. PD's mortality in Russia was also lower than in other developed countries. Abidance by rules of selecting the primary cause of death (PCOD), confirmed by an automated system, where one of the causes is PD will make mortality statistics of PD reliable and internationally comparable.

Authors: Maslennikova О.М., Reznichenko Т.А., Firsakova V.Yu.
Organization: State Scientific Research Center n.a. A.I. Burnasyan — Federal Medical Biophysical Center of Federal Medical Biological Agency
Summary:

The study aimed to identify the initial signs of immune violations at professional athletes with the mitral valve prolapse. Material and methods. For establishment of frequency of occurrence of the mitral valve prolapse as manifestations of a displaziya of connecting fibers among professional athletes 541 persons were surveyed (329 young men and 212 girls), an average age was 22,4±1,2 and 21,3±1,3 years respectively. The athletes were exposed to the echocardiography doppler in a prone position on the left side. The immune status of athletes estimated indicators of cellular and humoral immunity: quantity of leukocytes, lymphocytes, phagocyte activity of leukocytes, T indicators — and V-cellular immunity. Phagocyte activity of leukocytes (monocytes and neutrophils) blood was estimated on an indicator of a phagocyte index — number of leukocytes (at %), capable to phagocyte a test-microbe (epidermal staphylococcus). Results. The mitral valve prolapse was revealed at 132 people (24,4%), 74 young men (22,5%) and 58 girls (27,4%). At athletes with a prolapse (132 people) had changes in the immune system, being shown in decrease of levels of im-munoglobulins, total of leukocytes in comparison with athletes without prolapse are revealed. Conclusions. At athletes with the mitral valve prolapse (especially at girls) in the course of adaptation to long and considerable physical activities changes are more often shown from immune system, than athletes without heart pathology. In particular, the total of leukocytes, level of immunoglobulins A and M decreases.

Summary:

Millimeter wave therapy in hypertonic disease treatment promotes disappearance of negative clinical symptoms, normalization of arterial pressure indicators, improvement of system and cerebral hemodynamic. In spite of active using of wideband equipment in treatment for cardiovascular diseases, particularly hypertonic disease, the procedures generalizing experience in their use are not enough. Thus further investigation, searching of new treatment methods using up-to-date physiotherapy technology seem to be actual.
