From 1996 to 2008, the population in Saratov region decreased by 5.6%. From 2006 to 2008, injury indices in the region increased by 4.88%: fractures of thoracic and inferior limbs were caused by osteoporosis, taking into account «population aging». To decrease injury and fracture rates among the population of Saratov region is necessary to raise osteoporosis detection
