Summary:

Infectious complications in oncologic patients often occur as a result of antitumor therapy that demands the prescription of antimicrobic preparations. one of the main infectious agents in oncology is Staphylococci and Escherichia coli. The aim of this work is to study doxorubicine and ceftriaxon influence on dynamics of population development of strains of Staphylococcus aureus, doxorubicine and amikacine - on dynamics of population development of strains of Escherichia coli. Five strains of each type (one-standard and four-clinical) cultivated in meatpeptone broth, which contains non-inhibitory concentrations of experimental preparations. in any period of time after the sowing the measurement of optical density of growing cultures has been carried out. it has been determined, that doxorubicine in non-inhibitory concentrations increases overwhelming effect of these antibiotics on dynamics of population development of experimental strains

Summary:

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the structure of the proximal femur and its individual anatomical variability, namely the size of the femoral neck and the angle of torsion. These results suggest that the mor-phogeometry of the femur (the femoral neck axis length and width of the neck) may influence on the risk of fractures of the femoral neck in people of different body type

Organization: Azerbaijan Medical University
Summary:

The aim of the investigation is to study the sexual peculiarities of lymphoid formations in trachea and bronchi of individuals of different age groups.
The lymphoid apparatus of trachea and bronchi has been studied. taken from 58 humans of different age and both sexes, died or perished in accidents without pathologies of respiratory and immune systems was studied via microscopical methods. The trachea and bronchi principalis were fixated in 10% solution of formalin and in water Karnua. The longitudinal and transverse pieces were taken from cartilaginous and membranaceus walls of the upper, middle and lower one-third of the trachea and each bronchi principalis. These cuts 5-7 urn in thickness were stained with hematoxylin-eosin, azure-2-eosin, with hematoxylin-picrofucsin by Van-Gizon technique, with methyl green-pironin by Brashe technique (after fixation in water Karnua) and reaction by Grymelius.
The results of the research showed that during postnatal ontogenesis the sex related differences are observed in cell composition of the trachea and bronchi princiapalis' lymphoid structures. In adolescent, juvenile and 1-st mature period in females the percentage of small and big lymphocytes, cells with mitosis, plasma cells is more, but the percentage of medium lymphocytes and cells with degeneration is less than in males

Summary:

The objective of the research is to present morpho-functional parameters that characterize spatial arrangement of arterial and venous circulation of human heart. Research material includes heart vessels of people belonging to different age groups. In conclusion the scientific work points out that the obtained parameters give the possibility to evaluate and compare the spatial arrangement of arteries and veins in different topographic regions of heart

Summary:

The morphokinetiks of cellular populations under the influence of infra-red low-power laser irradiation has been studied. our researchers evidenced, that the number of cortical thymocytes decreases under the influence of infra-red low-power laser irradiation. Invasion of Mast cells in to the stroma of thymus and their contact with the reticuloepithelio-cytes are the important factors for the stimulation of proliferation and differentiation of thymocytes

Summary:

Assessment of health risk level is the major methodological approach for hygienic monitoring planning, for cause-effect basis of interrelation between environmental pollution and health. Pollution with heavy metals (cadmium, nickel) of Zavodskoy district in Saratov results in increasing risk and this requires development of health protection ways and approaches

Summary:

The research aimed to explore the changes of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) blood activity and polymorphism of the angiotensin II type 1 receptor gene as disease predictor at hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS). In exami¬nation 409 patients at the age of 15-65 years were involved. ACE blood activity with the help of Bbhlmann (Switzerland) ACE kinetic test was determined. Blood genomic DNA by phenol- chloroformic extraction was isolated, genetic locuses by polymerase chain reaction of DNA synthesis were researched. It was shown that the ACE blood activity at HFRS is risen and these changes the significanter the severer form of disease. Nonsignificant rising of enzyme activity only in feveric period of both ungravic and gravic forms was observed. In gravic form significant changes of ACE activity are observed, in complicated form - stable high enzyme activity during all disease took place. Analysis of angiotensin II type 1 receptor gene polymorphism shown that alleles *A1166 and *C1166, genotypes *A1166/*A1166 and *C1166/*C1166 are not associated with HFRS severity. Made conclusion that high ACE activity is not adaptive reaction due to defect in angiotensin II binding and it is an adequate metabolic response of an organism to endotheliotropic virus action

Comparative study of antibacterial action of iron and copper nanoparticles on clinical Staphylococcus aureus strains

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №1 Pages: 011-014

Authors: I.V. Babushkina, V.B. Borodulin, G.V. Korshunov, D.M. Puchinjan

Summary:

Research objective is to study antibacterial action of nanoparticles of iron and copper on polyantibiotically resistant clinical Staphylococcus aureus strains.
Materials and methods include antibacterial action of nanoparticles of copper and iron on 10 Staphylococcus au¬reus strains, isolated from patients with purulent complications stayed in the in-patient department of traumatology and orthopedics. Solutions of powders of iron and copper have been prepared directly before the experiment in concentra¬tion from 0,001 to 1 mg/ml.
it has been revealed that the influence of nanoparticles on growth of clinical strains and the intensity of antibacterial effect depends on the form of nanoparticles, their concentration and action time. concentration of 0,1 mg/ml and 1 mg/ ml of iron nanoparticles has provoked the decrease in quantity of microbe cells from 3 to 34 % (p <0,01). in smaller concentrations the reliable antibacterial effect has not been observed. Antibacterial activity of copper nanoparticles has been expressed in a wide range of concentrations from 0,001 mg/ml to 1 mg/ml, even during short-term action (30 minutes) it has provoked reduction of quantity of the microbe cells grown on the firm nutrient medium, 97-100 % in comparison with the control (p <0,001).
in conclusion it is to point out that copper nanoparticles have more expressed inhibitory effect on growth of clini¬cal strains of golden staphylococcus than iron nanoparticle suspension. inhibition degree depends on superdispersed powder dosage and incubation period
