PECULIARITIES OF CARDIAC SEPTUM MOVEMENT IN ATRIOVENTRICULAR JUNCTION AREA IN PATIENTS WITH PERSISTING ATRIAL FIBRILLATION

The aim is to stuty specific features of myocardium movement in atrioventricular junction area in patients with associated persistent atrial fibrillation using the Doppler Tissue Imaging (DTI)-mode echocardiography. To our understanding, the results obtained validate fiber changes in atrioventricular junction area at the time of atrial fibrillation, revealed during morphologic studies, and prove DTI diagnostic technique efficiency.
